What level of IT skills do I need to use this service?
None really. If you can send an email or use Word, you can most likely build a website using MyDragNDrop.
How long does it take to build a webpage?
Depending on how much you've learnt, pages can be build in a matter of minute and published at the click of a button.
What does ‘My Dashboard’ mean?
Your Dashboard is the page you get to when you login. From there you can access your page, publish your work to the web, and link to or copy your homepage address (vanity URL).
What sort of computer do I need?
Pretty much any computer (PC or MAC) that is powerful enough to run IE or Firefox as a browser and is connected to the web with broadband.
How much support do I get?
At the moment, you can email any support question to us and we’ll endeavour to get back to you within 24 hours.
What privacy rules do you apply to data I upload?
Anything that you upload is held in your own sub-directory and we do not in any way mine or share this data. It’s over to you how you share it when you publish it to the web.
If I signup, how often do you email me?
Very rarely. We only send out emails when something really important occurs. We prefer you opt-in to receiving updates either by RSS, email or twitter from our blog.
What controls are in place for websites with inappropriate content?
We continually check what is being published on our platform, but some inappropriate content may slip through. If you notice any websites on the mydnd.com domain that you think are offensive in anway, please email us and if we agree, we will take down the site as soon as we can.
Can I create a homepage, business site and blog and have them all linked?
Yes. As you can buy multiple accounts with different URL’s, you can make as many websites as you want and join them with hyperlinks. However, if you are writing a blog, bear in mind that for now you’ll have to manually build your archive links, and we don’t yet support RSS or content search within MyDND.
I own my own domain name. Can I integrate that with my website?
This is something we are yet to build, but for now you should be able to go into the control panel with your domain registrar and forward your domain to your MyDND vanity URL.
Do you backup my data?
Yes, we backup daily but while we’re in beta we can’t make any guarantees that you’ll be able to download all or any of it. So please don’t entrust us with critical data that you don’t have stored elsewhere.
Can I use the software to do web design work for clients?
Yes you can. Although you’ll need to know the username and password to begin with for your client’s account, and then pass it to them when you’re ready for them to update their content.
